As I may accept mention once or twice or a hundred times, the boys are non-believers.

Non-believers in Santa, the Easter bunny and the tooth fairy.

There are no such thing as fairies!   There are no tiny people who wing!

Last Christmas they attempted to foil any Santa illusions by staying awake and listening.   Thankfully, the boys were exhausted and Santa's elves didn't have to stay up besides late.

Santa'south elves need sleep too.

Since we haven't really exploited the Easter bunny around hither, there wasn't much fanfare around uncovering the real truth concluding bound.

That leaves the tooth fairy.

Both Ryan and Reid are in the tooth loosing stage and evidently they have been conspiring.   Ryan who is already 9 has only lost about half dozen teeth – a slow and steady process over the last few years.   Reid(vii) is loosing them left and right.

Literally.

He lost his right front tooth on Mon and his left 1 yesterday.

When he lost the right front tooth, we were all in the kitchen getting ready for breakfast.   He turned his caput and gasped.   Showed something in his hand to Ryan and they both started whispering.     He was turned away from me so I didn't see exactly what had happened, just it was obvious from his trunk linguistic communication.

Y'all but lost your molar!

Mom!   How did yous know?   We were going to continue it a secret.

Why?

To run into if the tooth fairy is real.

Real or not, the tooth fairy fabricated a $5 visit to the top bunk that nighttime and the question in their minds was not answered.

*Fast forward 2 days*

Reid and Ryan come abode from school and I notice that they are making themselves a little scarce.   This is Non normal behavior.   I am on high mom alert for some sort of boy shenanigan.

We sit downwardly for dinner and I am across the table from Reid who is chewing his nutrient a scrap awkwardly.

You lost your other tooth, didn't you?

No.

Actually?   It looks similar you did.

No!

Permit me see in your oral cavity.

And then he just lost it…giggling with an ear to ear smile sporting NO front teeth.

How did you KNOW mom?

Moms just know these things.

Ryan:   Ya, moms know these things because they are the molar fairy.
